Zero carbon solutions: Leading by example in Yorkshire
This seminar will highlight a selection of projects and initiatives that are at the forefront of creating a zero carbon green economy in our region demonstrating how net zero adds value to communities, business and the ecology.
The seminar will capture how a solar farm is working with the community and industry to realise the net zero vision. The event will also be used to talk though some of the ecological benefits that are being achieved alongside the development of this Local Energy Network. The reflections will help others understanding how natural environments can benefit allowing habit regrowth, with return and recovery of species that could have otherwise been driven out of the environment.
A range of speakers will discuss what is happening on the ground and the potential of the net zero economy the benefits for communities. An emphasis in this seminar is placed on whole community involvement and how business leaders are working alongside others to replenish and transform local areas.
